How was the first mosque in Delhi built?
When and who built it?
Let's enter the Qtub Minar Complex to find out how the first Delhi Sultanate, which initiated a radical change in the history of India, was born. We will talk about the Sultans who left a mark in this archaeological area of great importance and charm and anecdotes concerning them, we will talk about the architecture that characterizes it and what there is still to be explored outside the complex itself.
The victory of Qutb-ud-din Aibak over Prithviraj Chauhan in 1192 marked a great change in the history of the Indian subcontinent. From this moment in a sequence of successions between different Muslim dynasties in continuous expansion, which will end only in 1857 when the Mughal Empire, by now shrunk to represent the mere Red Fort in Old Delhi, will be completely swept away and replaced by the British Raj.
