CROSS WITH ME the portal to enter one of the most beautiful sites in Delhi, the capital of India, and let yourself be enchanted by this jewel recovered in the 90s by the Aga Khan Foundation and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
We will visit the Mausoleum of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the 16th century. I will tell you his story and why his tomb was built in this very place. We will also discover other small tombs located in the same complex, including the beautiful one of Isa Khan.
A journey through time, a history of battles for power, exiles, returns and incredible epilogues. But did you know that Humayun's Mausoleum was the inspiration for the construction of the most famous Taj Mahal in Agra?
In this Visit you will discover many curiosities and you will not miss a peek through the narrow streets of a place that I love very much and to which I will entirely dedicate a Visit, Nizamuddin Basti, just across the road! So, ready to take this dip in history, architecture and culture in India with me?
